This comes after the shooting death of Samuel DuBose on July 19
As of now, University of Cincinnati police officers will suspend off-campus patrols from campus police officers. This decision was made after Cincinnati police officer, Ray Tensing shot 43-year-old Samuel just a half mile from campus on July 19. Tensing had allegedly shot DuBose in the head after being pulled over for missing his front license plate.
The agreement to let UC officers patrol the streets of Cincinnati was signed in 2009. UC Students are concerned about their safety and feels that an agreement should happen sooner, rather than later since students will be returning to campus in a couple short weeks.
